Geraldine is a lovely small town 30 minutes drive from Timaru and about 1.5 hours drive from Christchurch. Geraldine is also the gateway to the stunning Peel Forest Scenic Reserve, Talbot Forest Scenic Reserve, and the Mackenzie region. You’ll find plenty of short walks, full-day hikes and more in Geraldine. In particular the two scenic reserves have a number of excellent short walks.
