3.9 km • 1 Hour • Easy Loop Walk • Time for an out-of-Auckland walk. The Martha Goldmine Pit Rim Walkway in Waihi is an interesting one hour walk.

3.30 kms • 1 Hour & 20 Minutes • Very Easy • Walk the 1km through the rail tunnel or bike it. Then walk right beside the river in a loop.

3.80 km • 1 Hour 20 minutes no stopping • Hard • Awesome views from the top of Mt Maunganui, one of my favourite walks at the mount.

13 km • 5 hours at a good pace with no stops • Medium. Follow the Tuahu Summit Track to the top then turn off.

The Kopurererua Valley Walkway is a 6km one way, very easy walk that took me around 1 hour and 45 mins to complete. This walk is in Tauranga near the city.

5 kms • 1 hour 40 minutes one way • Easy • The Tuahu Track starts at the end of Hot Springs Rd. It’s an excellent walk with Rimu & giant Kauri trees, freshwater streams, great views and bird life.

11 kms • 6 Hours • Medium, then hard walk • The Motutapere Hut is a 640m walk along the top of the Kaimai Ranges going south on the North-South Track after leaving the Tuahu Track. 8 km from Katikati.

6 kms • 4 Hours • Medium • The start of the walk is on the Tuahu Track then onto the Kauri Loop Track (optional) before turning off to Sentinel Rock Lookout Track. You shouldn’t attempt to climb to the summit as it’s very steep and dangerous.
